2020 KBA Elections
The Kansas Bar Association has once again partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to administer the 2020 KBA online elections. This year, all eligible KBA members will vote for the Secretary/Treasurer.

Mark A. Dupree, Sr., is the District Attorney of Wyandotte County, KS. Mr. Dupree leads more than 70 employees and manages a significant budget each fiscal year. The district attorney’s office is responsible for keeping the community safe. In his career, Mr. Dupree has practiced in diverse legal capacities. He clerked in Jackson County, MO, served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Jackson County, served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Johnson County Public Defender’s Office, and he and his wife practiced in their firm, Dupree and Dupree, LLC. Mr. Dupree is an active member in the community; he is the Senior Pastor of a local Wyandotte County church. DA Dupree sits on the Kansas Bar Association Board of Governors, is Past President of the Earl E. O’Connor American Inn of Courts, Past Board member of WYCO Bar Association, is a Sunflower House board member and a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. DA Dupree earned his bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Kansas, and his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law. Mr. Dupree is married to his law school sweetheart and former law partner, attorney Shanelle Dupree. They have four beautiful and active children.
Laura Ice is Vice President& General Counsel at Textron Financial Corporation in Wichita. At TFC, she is responsible for negotiating, structuring and documenting aircraft and other equipment finance transactions worldwide. Prior to joining TFC, she was in private practice with Adams & Jones in Wichita. She received her J.D. degree from Washburn University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas. She is a 4th generation Kansas lawyer and a 6th generation Kansan. Laura is a past President of the Wichita Bar Association, and the Kansas Bar Foundation. She has served several terms as Secretary-Treasurer and on the Board of Governors of the Kansas Bar Association from 2002-2010, and hopes to return to its leadership. She serves on the Board of Governors of the Washburn University School of Law, and on the Board of Trustees of the Washburn University Endowment Association. She has served on the Kansas Board of Law Examiners since 2015. She has received the Outstanding Service Award and Professionalism Award from the KBA, the Howard C Kline Distinguished Service Award from the WBA, the JMK Attorney of Achievement Award from Kansas Women Attorneys Association and the Louis Mattox Attorney of Achievement Award from Wichita Women Attorneys Association.
