Awesome Ambitions - Shadowing Attorneys in Kansas City

In addition to continuing to support diverse attorneys and law students, the KBA Diversity Committee hopes to build future diversity into our Bar. By finding/promoting opportunities for attorneys to engage with non-lawyers and students, we hope to cultivate curiosity, encourage the law as a career, and create a Bar that reflects the populations we serve.
One opportunity for attorneys to get involved is by allowing students to shadow them to court or in their daily work. Awesome Ambitions is a Kansas City based organization working to inspire young women to set and achieve high goals for themselves and equip them for this task by providing mentoring, education, and building a strong women-led community.
Several of the girls participating in Awesome Ambitions this year have expressed an interest in the law and would like to meet attorneys, shadow them, and see what it is all about!
How to Volunteer
If you are an attorney in the Kansas City region interested in volunteering, please contact Nazyrah (Naz) Rogers at firstname.lastname@example.org. Naz is a volunteer with Awesome Ambitions and is organizing the job shadowing program.
Thank you for considering volunteering! Please feel free to share this content.
