Supreme Court accepting comment on proposed amendments to Rule 3.10 affecting the practice of law by judges
TOPEKA — The Kansas Supreme Court is accepting public comment on proposed amendments to Supreme Court Rule 3.10 that specifies how judges may practice law.
Comments may be made by email to email@example.com until 5 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017. The subject line must read Rule 3.10.
The proposed amended rule is available for review on the Kansas judicial branch website at www.kscourts.org under the heading What's New.
Currently, the rule does not specify whether a judge may practice law under national or state military service. If adopted, the rule would allow this. The amendments also clarify other language in the rule.
