We will review: Giving the Spouse the authority to override the terms of the Living Will.  Why using the bare boned forms in the statute short changes your client. What language in needed regarding pain management. Is it clear that family can override third parties controlling medical decisions?

Kirk Nystrom has practiced law in Topeka for over 35 years primarily in the areas of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Trusts, Probate, Estate Planning, Real Estate and Small Business Law. He received both his B.B.A. in Business, School of Business Scholar, Sagamore Honor Society, and his Juris Doctor from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and his advanced law degree, an L.LM. in Taxation from the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC). He has taught Real Estate Fundamentals at Washburn University. In law school he marketed real estate as a real estate broker.
