The Durable Power of Attorney for Finances. The Must Have Kansas Law Terms and Avoiding Pitfalls for Agents Serving!
We will review: the requirements to have an agent be authorized to sell the home, why the spouse must consent, avoiding placing too high a burden on a serving agent, what provisions can outlast death, and what HIPAA provisions should be included.

Kirk Nystrom has practiced law in Topeka for over 35 years primarily in the areas of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Trusts, Probate, Estate Planning, Real Estate and Small Business Law. He received both his B.B.A. in Business, School of Business Scholar, Sagamore Honor Society, and his Juris Doctor from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and his advanced law degree, an L.LM. in Taxation from the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC). He has taught Real Estate Fundamentals at Washburn University. In law school he marketed real estate as a real estate broker.
