Jury Trials During the Coronavirus Epidemic:

Online, In-Person, and Jury Selection

Wednesday, July 1st, 2020

Noon - 1:40 PM CDT

Presented by Betty Dunkum Esq., Victory Trial Consulting

Course Description: How do we safely resume jury trials? Are online jury trials a viable option? What about jury selection? This program will discuss big picture issues relating to the coronavirus epidemic and jury trials. The program will examine restarting in-person jury trials, online jury trials, online grand juries, in-person jury selection under social distancing guidelines, jury selection in an online jury trial, considerations for attorneys and witnesses, and juror perceptions in an online trial. The program will discuss alternatives to a jury trial if, for example, a party needs a quick trial date.
