Practice Management Tips for the New and Not So New Attorney
The seminar covers multiple topics to help prepare and assist attorneys in private practice as they enter important transitions into partnership and beyond.  The discussion is led by Clint Patty, who spend more than 17 years in private practice in Topeka, Kansas and more than a dozen years as a partner with the law firm of Frieden and Forbes.  Clint is now the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Clayton Wealth Partners, one of the largest fee-only full-time fiduciary wealth managers in Kansas.  Barbara Heller, CFP, Mr. Patty’s business partner and Vice President and Senior Financial Planner at Clayton Wealth Partners will also participate.  Both will cover multiple topics on the dos and don’ts of the early to mid-practitioner.  Topics include:

Presenters' Info:

Clint Patty, Clayton Wealth Partners, Topeka
Clint earned his Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 1998 and promptly entered private practice. His was a highly successful practice and included working to secure three of four of the largest state contracts ever awarded in Kansas. He has applied that same aptitude for leadership at Clayton Wealth Partners, where he has helped his fellow partners adjust to their ownership roles while overseeing operations, including human resources, compliance, and marketing.Clint makes his home in Topeka with his wife and children. When not spending time with them or catching up on the Kansas Jayhawks, he is dedicated to serving the community. He is active with First Christian Church of Topeka, Rotary Club of Topeka, Stormont-Vail Hospital Foundation and Kansas Children’s Service League among many others.He also loves baseball,history,classic movies and a good conspiracy theory.


Barbara Heller, Clayton Wealth Partners, Topeka
Barbara got started in the financial services industry when she landed a job at CWP as an assistant financial planner. Since then, her responsibilities have steadily expanded, and nearly 15 years later, she serves as vice president and senior wealth advisor. Barbara helps develop and maintain client relationships, is a member of our management team, and trains staff members in the personalized financial planning and investment management that our firm is committed to.  Outside of work, the Topeka resident shows the same dedication to helping improve people’s lives as she does at the office. Her community activities include board memberships on the Topeka Symphony League and Washburn Campus Ministry, as well as serving as a volunteer for Birthright of Topeka. She also enjoys sporting events and gardening, and is a big fan of TV crime dramas.
