Patrick Doran joined FHLBank Topeka in 2004 as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He was promoted in 2016 to executive vice president, chief compliance and ethics officer, and general counsel.
Before joining FHLBank Topeka, Doran served as senior counsel and vice president of corporate and community affairs for 1stSource Bank, South Bend, Ind.
Doran hasa bachelor of business administration in finance and a juris doctorate from the University of Notre Dame. He is admitted to the bar in Kansas, Indiana and Wisconsin. Doran is chairman of Momentum 2022- downtown and NOTO task force and a member of the Momentum 2022 implementation committee. He is board vice chair for Heartland Visioning and on the board of Downtown Topeka, Inc. He previously served on the boards of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce and the Kansas Chamber of Commerce and is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Kansas and 2006 graduate of Leadership Greater Topeka.
Amanda Kiefer joined FHLBank Topeka in 2011 as corporate counsel and was promoted to her current role in 2016. Amanda is a 2003 Washburn Law School graduate, and received a Political Science degree from Kansas State University. Amanda began her legal career clerking for Kansas Supreme Court Justice Carol A. Beier and then joined the Topeka law firm Fisher, Patterson, Sayler & Smith as an associate. Amanda later joined the law department at Security Benefit Corporation as Assistant Counsel.
She is a graduate of the 2014 Leadership Greater Topeka class and one of Greater Topeka’s 2014 Top 20 Under 40. Amanda was named as one the Top 50 Kansans You Should Know by Ingram’s magazine in 2017. Amanda is a member of the board of the Stormont Vail Health Foundation and the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence. Amanda also serves on the Go Topeka’s Entrepreneurial Minority and Women Business Development Council. In addition, she is a past President of the Topeka Bar Association and prior board member of the Boys and Girls Club. She has chaired the Corporate Counsel Section of the KBA and served as the Conference Co-Chair for the Kansas Women Attorneys Association. She is a past president of the Washburn Women’s Alliance and of the Women Attorneys Association of Topeka. Amanda previously served on the board of Women Vision International, a not-for-profit corporation that coordinated a micro-lending program in Ghana, Africa.
