Webinar: Immigration Law for Family Practitioners in the Trump Era.
12:00-12:50 PM

As we face a new era of immigration law enforcement, family practitioners need to be aware of the issues that may arise when representing immigrant families. In this CLE we will be discussing scenarios in which family and immigration law intersect, and how to be ready to avoid the most common mistakes.

Topics to be covered:

1. Marriage (Traditional, Same-Sex, Common Law)

2. Effect of Divorce on immigration status

3. Domestic Violence (VAWA and U Visas)

4. Children (Legitimization, Abduction, Adoption, Child Support, Unaccompanied Children, Smuggling of Family members)
