Fundamental to the practice of law is interaction with people about the legal concerns that brought them to us. How do we interact with them, when we are ordered specifically to stay away from clients?
Electronically, virtually, and ethically is the answer.
While “the rules” still lag behind technological advances, we know that technological ignorance probably is unethical, pandemic or no. Email and e-filing already have required us to adjust systems, within our offices and facing our clients
and other third parties. With a pandemic, or other truly emergent situation, how can we provide the accessibility that clients want, while protecting us, them, and their information and remaining within the parameters of “the rules?”
What happens when the pandemic ends? Is there a new normal?
Join us online as Stephanie Goodenow of Goodenow Law, LLC reviews the ethical rules and their application to our new world of working during stay-at-home orders and virtual offices.
