It’s time for the 2020 KBA YLS High School Mock Trial State Tournament! The best six teams from across the state will be competing in Topeka on March 28, 2020, and on behalf of the Young Lawyer’s Section of the Kansas Bar Association, I am inviting attorneys and legal professionals to serve as mock judges and jurors who can give the students feedback on their courtroom presentation skills. Students competing in mock trial have poured hours of work into their preparation and have been narrowed down to the best of the best advocates and witnesses.
Please consider signing up to serve as a volunteer judge or juror for any of the rounds on March 28, 2020, (8:00am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, and/or 3:30pm at the Shawnee County Courthouse) by emailing Anne Woods at email@example.com.
You are encouraged to sign up with a fellow young lawyer or any other colleague in the legal field. And, of course, please feel free to pass this announcement along to your colleagues. Thank you for supporting these dedicated students!
