E-mail Privacy and Member Contact Information
The KBA will periodically send e-mails to members or groups of members (e.g., sections and committees). Members can always opt out of receiving e-mails or by restricting the category of e-mails they receive. It is the general policy of the KBA to be restrictive in the distribution or sale of contact information of its members.
External Links
The KBA Web site contains links to other external Web sites that we believe may be useful to KBA members and the public. The KBA is not responsible for the privacy practices of these external Web sites. The KBA also cannot guarantee the accuracy of links in the event an external Web site changes its links or moves its Web site.
Use of "Cookies" and IP Addresses
The KBA uses cookies for our online poll, so that individuals may vote only one time per computer. We also use cookies on the members-only pages to store your username and password locally for easy access.
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies; however, if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future. The KBA cannot control the use of cookies by other sites that are linked to our site.
The KBA does not track IP addresses. An IP address is a number that identifies each sender or receiver of information that is sent in packets across the Internet.
User Accounts
When registering to use a "Members Only" feature, it is solely your responsibility to keep your account information, such as username and password, secure. The KBA will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or e-mail. If you lose or forget your username or password, you can request the information by calling the KBA at (785) 234-5696.
Registration and Order Forms
Registration and order forms on this site operate in a secure environment using Mal's e-commerce. We ask users to provide contact information (i.e., e-mail address, phone number, etc.), unique identifiers (i.e., KBA membership number), and/or financial information (i.e., credit card numbers). Customer information is used to process and send order(s), bill credit cards, and/or KBA invoices and to contact the customer when necessary.
Information supplied via online registration and order forms is used only by the KBA. It is not sold or provided to vendors, direct mail concerns, e-mail list services, etc.
Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information under our control.
