Jeffrey Alderman Named Kansas Bar Executive Director

(March 26, 2004) Topeka, KS—The Kansas Bar Association (KBA) is pleased to announce that Jeffrey J. Alderman has joined the organization as its new executive director. Alderman comes to the KBA after serving the last five years as the executive director of the Camden County (N.J.) Bar Association.

"Jeff brings extensive leadership experience to the KBA," said President Daniel Sevart, a partner in the Wichita law firm of Sevart & Sevart. "His background and expertise will be very beneficial to our missions and goals."

From 1990-1998, Alderman served as the assistant executive director of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association. He is a journalism graduate of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti and has been credited with leading a wide range of highly successful initiatives resulting in dramatic membership growth and increased revenue for both the Detroit Metropolitan and Camden County bar associations.

"I am truly honored to join such a well-respected and admired bar association," said Alderman. "I look forward to contributing to our 122-year tradition of service to the community and to the profession."

Alderman can be reached at 785-234-5696 or e-mail Jeffrey Alderman.
