(June 10, 2003) Topeka, KS—The Kansas Bar Association (KBA) recently recognized milestones for KBA members who have practiced law for 50, 60, and 70 years. Each member was honored at an awards luncheon on June 9 in Wichita, where they were presented with a certificate and lapel pin for their contributions to the legal profession in Kansas.
Eldon Slone, Topeka, was honored for 70 years of service to the KBA.
Topeka residents honored for 60 years of service were Hon. Harold S. Herd and Hon. Robert H. Miller.
Topeka residents honored for 50 years of service were James E. Benfer Jr., James M. Caplinger, James R. James, Sterling S. Waggener, and Charles B. Works.
