Area Kansas Bar Association Members Elected Section Presidents

(August 15, 2003) Topeka, KS—The following Kansas Bar Association members from Wichita were elected to serve as Section presidents. Sections of the Kansas Bar Association are composed of attorneys with a common legal interest or practice who band together to share ideas and expertise, help with continuing legal education and legislative issues in those areas of law, and keep Section members informed of developments and changes in those areas.

Thomas J. Lasater, Bankruptcy Law Section, is an attorney with Fleeson Gooing Coulson & Kitch LLC. Lasater is a graduate of George Washington University Law School.

David M. Traster, Administrative Law Section, is an attorney with Foulston Siefkin LLP. Traster is a graduate of Washburn School of Law.

Wyatt A. Hoch, Construction Law Section, is an attorney with Foulston Siefkin LLP. Hoch is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.

William R. Wood, Corporation, Banking and Business Law Section, is an attorney with Foulston Siefkin LLP. Wood is a graduate of Washburn School of Law.

Boyd A. Byers, Employment Law Section, is an attorney with Foulston Siefkin LLP. Byers is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Law.

Gregory L. Franken, Tax Law Section, is an attorney with Beaver Dye LC. Franken is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.

Joni J. Franklin, Young Lawyers Section, is an attorney with Alexander, Floodman & Casey Chtd. Franklin is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.

About the Kansas Bar Association
The Kansas Bar Association was founded in 1882 as a voluntary association for dedicated legal professionals and has approximately 6,200 members, including lawyers, judges, law students, and legal assistants. The KBA is dedicated to advancing the professionalism and legal skills of lawyers, promoting the interests of the legal profession, providing services to its members, advocating positions on law-related issues, encouraging public understanding of the law, and promoting the effective administration of our system of justice.
