Kansas Bar Association Honors Roth with Professionalism Award

(June 10, 2003) Topeka, KS—The Kansas Bar Association (KBA) recently recognized Robert "Bob" J. Roth, Wichita, as the 2003 recipient of the Professionalism Award. Roth was honored at an awards luncheon on June 9 in Wichita.

Roth began his legal career as a research attorney with the Kansas Supreme Court after completing his J.D. at the Washburn University School of Law in 1955. In 1956, he took the position of Assistant Attorney General for the state of Kansas. He later went into private practice before being appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas by President Nixon in 1969. He returned to private practice in 1975.

The Professionalism Award recognizes an individual who has practiced law for 10 or more years, and who-by his or her conduct, honesty, integrity, and courtesy-best exemplifies, represents, and encourages other lawyers to follow the highest standards of the legal profession as identified by the KBA Hallmarks of the Profession.
