Kansas Bar Association Honors Johnston with Outstanding Young Lawyer Award

(June 10, 2003) Topeka, KS—The Kansas Bar Association (KBA) recently recognized Peter S. Johnston, Salina, as the 2003 recipient of the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. Johnston was honored at an awards luncheon on June 9 in Wichita.

Johnston graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1997 and practices in the areas of trusts, estates, and taxation. As a member of the KBA Young Lawyers Section, he served as an officer and the section liaison to the KBA Continuing Legal Education (CLE) committee. He volunteered as a coach and judge for the regional and state KBA High School Mock Trial competition in 1998 and 2001 and has made several CLE presentations for the association.

The Outstanding Young Lawyer Award recognizes the efforts of a KBA Young Lawyers Section member who has rendered meritorious service to the legal profession, the community, or the KBA.
