Kansas Bar Association Honors Hinderks for Outstanding Service

(June 10, 2003) Topeka, KS—The Kansas Bar Association (KBA) presented KBA member Mark D. Hinderks, Overland Park, with an Outstanding Service Award. Hinderks was honored at an awards luncheon on June 9 in Wichita for his commitment to the legal profession in Kansas.

Hinderks received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law and is a partner in the firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP. He is managing partner of the firm's Overland Park office and co-general counsel of the firm, representing business and governmental entities in commercial and construction litigation. He is an active member of the KBA and has served on the Board of Editors for the Journal of the Kansas Bar Association for 19 years, including two years as chair. He is a past president of the KBA Administrative Law Section, has served on the KBA Ethics Advisory Committee, and currently serves on the KBA's Ethics 2000 Committee. In 1994 he was the recipient of the KBA's Outstanding Young Lawyer Award.

The Outstanding Service Award is given for the purpose of recognizing lawyers and judges for service to the legal profession and/or the Kansas Bar Association and for recognizing nonlawyers for especially meritorious deeds or service that significantly advance the administration of justice or the goals of the legal profession and/or the KBA.
