(June 10, 2003) Topeka, KSThe Kansas Bar Association (KBA) presented KBA member Robert "Bob" M. Collins, Wichita, with an Outstanding Service Award. Collins was honored at an awards luncheon on June 9 in Wichita for his commitment to the legal profession in Kansas.
Collins received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1962 and is a sole practitioner in the field of elder law. He is an active member of the KBA, serving on the Title Standards Examination Committee for 37 years. His membership in the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Committee also dates from 1965 to the present. He is a member of the Elder Law Section, serves as the section representative to the Legislative Committee, and serves on the KBA Elder Law Hotline.
The Outstanding Service Award is given for the purpose of recognizing lawyers and judges for service to the legal profession and/or the Kansas Bar Association and for recognizing nonlawyers for especially meritorious deeds or service that significantly advance the administration of justice or the goals of the legal profession and/or the KBA.
