In addition to a public search directory, KBA members now have the option using their own advanced search to find fellow members. Listed under Member Services, "Advanced Member Search" offers three different search options: Basic, Radius, and Advanced.
Basic Search is a simple search query that lets a member enter specific search criteria, group (i.e., committee or section), country, or even location (i.e., city or state).
The Radius Search function lets the member search by an address they input or by zip code. If their own address is the starting point, the member can use the drop down "Enter address in the fields provided" to automatically pull an address from their member profile.
The radius itself may be set anywhere from 5 miles to 500 miles.
Advanced Search is a two-step process in which a member first selects the "Member Type" to search and then continues to the next page, which features more search functions, such as name, company/employer, groups, profession, county (district), and practice areas.
