The Johnson County Bar Association (JCBA) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Executive Director. The JCBA is a 1,500 member professional organization with its office located in Olathe. The Executive Director serves at the pleasure of the JCBA board of directors, is a prominent representative of the organization, and is responsible for the day to day operations of the organization. The Executive Director also supports the Johnson County Bar Foundation (JCBF), the charitable arm of the JCBA, by overseeing the overall management, coordination and administration of the Foundation. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in management, business, public administration or a related field.
Experience working with a Board of Directors in a public, private or non-profit organization.
Strong business/finance background, including budgeting and daily financial operations.
Experience with event/program development and planning, including event budgeting.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal communication, public speaking, public relations and conflict management skills, including ability to communicate effectively with a broad constituency.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in communicating via various forms of technology including electronic newsletters, websites, e-blasts, electronic registrations, Facebook and other social media.
