Educating yourself with a comprehensive judicial survey
As citizens head to the polls on Tuesday to cast their votes for a number of elections, many Kansans may lack information about certain judges or justices up for retention. With the recent political attacks on the court, being informed about the overall performance of a particular judge or justice is important, and that is why the 2014 Kansas Judicial Review Survey was conducted.
This comprehensive survey provides a well-rounded review of all 10 appellate court members up for retention. Those reviewed include Supreme Court Justices Lee A. Johnson and Eric S. Rosen; and Court of Appeals Judges Michael B. Buser, Henry W. Green Jr., Stephen D. Hill, Thomas E. Malone, Patrick D. McAnany, Anthony J. Powell, Kim R. Schroeder and Melissa T. Standridge. Those polled in this survey included Kansas attorneys, law professors and other judges, all of whom have either worked with, appeared before or relied upon the rulings of these judges.
