The Access to Justice Committee develops and implements programs to insure equal access to the legal system for all Kansans regardless of their income or physical circumstances.

The Annual Meeting Planning Committee coordinates and plans the KBA Annual Meeting.

The Annual Survey of Law Committee coordinates with the state's pre-eminent lawyers and scholars in their respective practice areas to provide an annual overview of all significant developments in the law. The Kansas Annual Survey of Law gives practitioners a comprehensive survey of legal developments over the previous 12 months in the appellate courts and the legislature.

The Awards Committee solicits award nominations, implements a process for encouraging award nominations, reviews award nominations, and makes recommendations to the KBA President for awards to be given each year by the Kansas Bar Association.

The Commission on Professionalism shall assist in our ongoing efforts to highlight and emphasize the KBA's Pillars of Professionalism and its beneficial effects for the legal profession and the public.

The Continuing Legal Education Committee implements a multi-faceted continuing legal education program which enhances the competence of Kansas lawyers by quality programs and materials offered in an affordable and accessible manner.

The Diversity Committee helps the KBA foster an inclusive, diverse bar association, promote understanding and respect for different points of view, and support the advancement of diversity within the Kansas legal profession and justice system.

The Ethics Advisory Committee provides advisory opinions to KBA members on questions concerning ethical standards and practices, and to otherwise help educate lawyers about their ethical obligations and provide professional guidance in the area of ethical conduct.

The Ethics Grievance Committee investigates complaints and makes recommendations to the Disciplinary Administrator as to proper action in conformity with the rules of the Supreme Court relating to legal ethics.

The Federal and State Jurisdiction Committee allows for interaction between the state and federal court systems to share ideas as well as discuss items of mutual interest.

The Fee Dispute Committee administers a statewide fee dispute process in which the committee investigates any complaints that allege excessive fees by an attorney and attempts to resolve such disputes.

The IOLTA Committee is designated by the Board of Trustees of the Kansas Bar Foundation to review grant applications.

The Journal Board of Editors Committee selects and edits articles and oversees publication of The Journal of the Kansas Bar Association.

The Law Related Education Committee develops programs and makes recommendations to improve relationships and communications between the public and the Bar.

The Legislative Committee considers legislative positions and makes recommendations to the Board of Governors on all matters relating to the amendment of laws and new legislation, including acts recommended by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws; and to endeavor to secure enactment of proposed legislation approved and recommended for passage by the Board of Governors.

The Media-Bar Committee acts as a liaison between the bar, the bench, and the news media for a continuing exchange of views; providing a ready forum to provide education and to consider mutual problems if they arise; and recommends actions to address these issues.

The Nominating Committee seeks and submits annual nominations for KBA officers and the Board of Governors when no petition is filed for a vacancy in a given KBA district.

The Paralegals Committee develops and recommends guidelines concerning the competency and use of paralegals and legal assistants by lawyers. Committee membership includes two representatives from the Kansas Association of Legal Assistants and two representatives from the Kansas Paralegal Association.

The Special Task Force for Membership has been charged with the duty of researching current trends in the membership demographic to identify possible new membership practices and benefits to attract and retain new members.

The Task Force for Mandatory IOLTA develops and recommends a change to the Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct that would require all members of the Kansas Bar who receive IOLTA-eligible funds to participate in the IOLTA program.

The Standards for Title Examinations Committee develops, adopts, and recommends title examination standards for members of the Bar.
