KBA YLS Mock Trial Competition Judges/Volunteers
Share |

Inviting judges, attorneys, law students and other members of the legal community to take part in the mock trial program bridges the gap between the simulated activity and reality and provides an opportunity for legal professionals to share their knowledge and experience with the future lawyers of Kansas. If you are interested in judging a competition or volunteering to coach a program, please contact us here.

What does a coach/mentor do?

As a mentor, you will be a resource for the students to assist in preparing them for the mock trials.  The high school students and in large part their coaches are not legally trained, and as a mentor you will guide them through the process of preparing the case for trial and performing the essential roles of attorneys and witnesses at trial within the scope of the high school mock trial rules.  This is a great opportunity to share your well crafted skills with others, maybe even the future state and national champions!
