Description Long term care contracts are filled with specialized jargon and helping clients evaluate policies requires at least minimal fluency in this vocabulary set. This is further complicated by the long window from purchase to use on these – clients have often forgotten exactly what they were told when they bought. This seminar is the first of a two part series on reading contracts and filing claims. This first part will cover how to read and understand the declaration page of benefits provided, give basic understanding of what to look for on what will trigger the claim, and identify some of the finer points that can cause confusion and problems for clients trying to make claim.
