Sara Rust-Martin, Director of Legal and Policy, KCSDV, Topeka

This training will help attorneys work with clients who are victims of domestic violence and have been arrested as aggressors or who have used violence against their attackers. We will go through the self-defense laws in Kansas, and how an attorney can best address the impacts of using violence. We will also go over the dynamics of domestic violence and why victims may use violence to defend themselves.

In partnership with Kansas Coalition of Sexual and Domestic Violence (KCSDV)
