Presenter Adam C. Dees, of Vignery & Mason LLC in Goodland, will focus on the Kansas Water Appropriation Act and discuss whether an oil and gas producer must obtain a permit under the Kansas Water Appropriation Act, if so, what types of permits are available for obtaining the required water and how to get those permits, entities that might need to be consulted during the process of getting a permit, landowners perspectives of the method that the water is obtained, and relevant recent changes in water law.
