There's an App for That: A Primer for Family Law Litigators

A primer for anyone curious about current technologies available to families – clients and children alike. This webinar offers recommendations for low or no-cost technologies to your clients to assist with parenting, will make you aware of websites that could cause harm or create safety concerns in family law litigation, and discovery request language specific enough to preserve available data.

 

Presenters:

Ashlyn Yarnell is the Senior Associate with Ronald W. Nelson PA and is a graduate of Washburn University School of Law. Ashlyn is engaged in a civil trial and appellate practice emphasizing divorce, parentage, non-marital, and post-decree matters, and Child In Need of Care proceedings. She is admitted to practice law before all trial, appellate, and federal courts in the State of Kansas. She is a member of The Johnson County, Kansas Family Law American Inn of Court, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). She is a member of the Johnson County, Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association (Member, Family Law Section), and the American Bar Association (Member, Family Law Section). She has taught continuing legal education presentations for the Kansas Bar Association and the Johnson County Bar Association

 

 

 

Bethany Roberts is an attorney with Barber Emerson, L.C. in Lawrence, Kansas.  Ms. Roberts was formerly the managing attorney with Kansas Legal Services in Topeka, Kansas where she was employed since graduation from law school at the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!).  She specializes in working with victims of domestic, sexual, stalking and dating violence. Ms. Roberts is an Adjunct Professor at Washburn Law School teaching topics related to child and family law, specifically “Children in the Law” and “Domestic Violence.”   Ms. Roberts frequently speaks on domestic, Guardian ad Litem, and ethical issues.  Prior to law school, Ms. Roberts was a special education teacher.
