Loose Lips Sink Partnerships (and Clients Too): The Ethical Way to Honor Client Confidentiality
October 17 (Noon-1:00 PM)

One of the most sacrosanct duties for lawyers is the duty of confidentiality. A client has a right to trust that his or her lawyer will not improperly divulge information about the representation. This trust is one of the hallmarks of the client-lawyer relationship. In this surprisingly funny webinar, legal humorist Sean Carter will explore the contours of the rules concerning lawyer confidentiality.

Approved for 1.0 hour non-traditional CLE, including 1.0 hour ethics and professionalism  in Kansas. Approved for 1.2 hours CLE credit, including 1.2 hours professionalism credit in Missouri.

A Nightmare on Ethics Street: Don't Fall Asleep on Your Ethical Obligations
October 31 (Noon-1:00 PM)

On Halloween 2011, more than 700 lawyers from across the country screamed (in delight) as they experienced the first ever CLE webinar spooktacular -- A Nightmare on Ethics Street. Exactly five years later, acclaimed humorists Sean Carter and Stuart Teicher will be back with all new tales of real-life ethical nightmares. In this fun (and sometimes, frightening) webinar, Carter and Teicher draw upon recent disciplinary cases to demonstrate the ethical danger for attorneys who fall asleep on their ethical obligations.

Approved for 1.0 hour non-traditional CLE, including 1.0 hour ethics and professionalism  in Kansas.
