...to serve the citizens of Kansas and the legal profession through funding charitable and educational projects that foster the welfare, honor and integrity of the legal system by improving its accessibility, equality and uniformity, by enhancing public opinion of the role of lawyers in our society.

The Kansas Bar Foundation supports programs providing access to the legal system for low-income Kansans, advocacy for children in need of care and victims of domestic violence, scholarships, educational materials and teacher training for public and private schools about the role of law and lawyers in society.

It was founded in 1957 as a 501 (C)(3) charitable organization and is supported by voluntary contributions from lawyers, the Fellows program and IOLTA. Lawyers may become a Fellow when paying or pledging $1,000 or more.

Your Support Can Make a Difference!

Through the contributions of individuals and law firms who have answered the call for public service, the KBF and its programs can continue to make a real difference in the lives of Kansans. If you would like to contribute to the Kansas Bar Foundation, you may pay by check or credit card. Your gift to the KBF is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
