Westlaw Charges per Document Viewed in Browse Mode; Casemaker Does Not!

The ability to Browse through content is one of Casemaker’s more popular features. Users have the ability to view a table of contents for all to statutes, codes, rules, and other materials. By being able to view the titles users can determine which item would be of most interest to them. This feature allows attorneys the freedom to search for a desired document without knowing the citation number or even the official document name. It is just like using a printed book. And it is completely free to KBA members.

As of January 2007, Westlaw began charging $4 per document in their “Documents in Sequence” feature (aka browse). If you are a current Westlaw user and you desire to browse in statutes, regulatory codes, rules, or other materials, you need to be using Casemaker. Our free service will save you and your clients a bundle.
