The default setting for ranking your search results in the Case Law database is by relevance. The relevance ranking is calculated by an algorithm unique to Casemaker. In order to see your results in familiar date order, select the “Advanced Search” tab on the search screen and from the “Result Order” drop-down menu located at the bottom of the Advanced Search screen, select “Date Descending” or “Date Ascending.”
