Archives of substantive articles from the Journal of the Kansas Bar Association (1993-present) have been added to Casemaker; issues prior to 1993 will be added in the near future. You can browse articles by volume or search by title, author, or subject.
To browse Journal archives:
1. From the Kansas Casemaker main menu, scroll down to KBA Journal and click browse; the Journal archive Table of Contents will appear:


2. If you know the date and volume number the Journal article appeared in, click the appropriate hyperlink, e.g., “Volume 68 (1999) brings up the Table of Contents for all substantive articles found in issues of the KBA Journal that were printed in 1999:

To search Journal archives:
1. From the Kansas Casemaker main menu, scroll down to KBA Journal and click search; you can type your search query in either the Basic Search field or the Advanced Search field. In the example below, we are searching for all articles that deal with the “Indian Child Welfare Act.” (Note: Placing your search criteria in quote marks looks for the exact phrase; also, the search is not case sensitive, so you can type in all UPPERCASE, all lowercase, or a combination of the two.)



2. To narrow your search, if you know the exact title of the article and/or the author’s name —
a. You can place the title of the article either in the Full Document Search Query field or in the Title field:
