Q: Where do I renew my KBA membership? (Step 1 of 2)

  • First, log in to your KBA account. (view the FAQ "Where do I log in/sign in?" if you need help logging in)
  • Next, navigate to the Manage Profile page and under the Invoicing, Payments & History category, click on theMembership icon.

  • Then, on the Membership page, click the Securely renew your membership now button (shown below).

Q: How do I renew my KBA membership? (Step 2 of 2)

(this FAQ is assuming you have completed the FAQ above "Where do I renew my KBA membership?" and are in the process of renewing)

 

  • Choose your membership type from the drop down list. The page will do a quick refresh to allow for Section selection.


Note: depending on your browser, once you choose your Membership, you may have a notification looking similar to the screen capture below. Despite your instincts/reluctance, choose the "Leave this Page" option. You won't actually leave this page – the page is only adding more detail depending on your selection.

 

  • Select one or more Section that you desire to join.
  • Confirm your information is up to date. If it is up to date and the billing information is the same, check the box (see image below) to save you some time.


If your information is incorrect, please update it in the Billing Information portion and check the box shown below.

  • Finally, you can make a pledge or donate to the Kansas Bar Foundation or toward the Jeans for Justice program (available at different times of the year). If you don't want to make a donation, simply uncheck the box shown below.

Q: Where can I find my open invoices, print receipts and invoices, and see my payment history?

Step 1: After logging in, go to the Manage Profile page.

Step 2: Under the category Invoicing, Payments, & History, click Invoices.

Tip: If you have an open invoice, a number will display over the invoice icon


Notice: For Membership renewal invoices, click the Dues tab

Step 3: You can now print your invoice(s) to send with a check payment or to keep in your records. You also have the option at this point to make a payment online using a credit or debit card by clicking the icon on the right.

 

Tip: If you have multiple open invoices and would like to pay them all at once, you can "check" them all and click Pay Selected Invoices using a credit or debit card.

Tip: During the renewal process online, you have the option to print your Invoice/Receipt immediately after completion.


Q: Where do I log in/sign in?

Option 1 — Step 1:

From most anywhere on the site, you can access the sign in button at the top above the navigation menu (see image below).

 

 

Option 2 — Step 1 (Home page only):

You can log in from the Home page, on the right side just below the middle.


Step 2: Log in using your username that you've already been using. Your password, due to security reasons, has been reset. Please check your recent KBA Alert email with further login information. If you never received or no longer have access to the KBA Alert, you can click the "Forgot your password?" button and reset it that way.

 

If you've forgotten your username (it's usually your email), have never logged in, or have other issues, pleasecontact us here.

Q: How do I manage my profile?

Step 1:

Log in to your KBA account. If you've forgotten your username (usually your email), have never logged in, or have other issues, please contact us here.

 

Step 2:

From the site's main navigation menu, please move your cursor over FOR OUR MEMBERS, and then click on Manage Profile. If you can't see the "Manage Profile" tab, you are not logged in and you should see "Where do I log in?" above.

Q: How do I change my password?

Step1: Log in to your KBA account. You will be taken to Manage Profile. (Manage Profile is the default page upon logging in. If you aren't taken to Manage Profileimmediately after logging in, see how to get there manually: Manage Profile)


Step 2: Click "Edit Bio in your manage profile settings.

Step 3: Click "change" to update your password

Note: please have popup blockers turned off to change your password

Q: How do I log in to Casemaker (a members-only benefit)?

Step 1:

Log in to your KBA account. (For more information on logging in, please review the FAQ "Where do I log in/sign in?")


Step 2:

After logging in, please scroll to the top of the page so you can see the menu items and hover over Casemaker which exposes a new link visible to members only called Casemaker Login. ClickCasemaker Login.

 


 

Step 3:

From there, you will click a link at the top of the content that says Click here to log in to Casemaker and you will be redirected to Casemaker.


 

Q: Privacy Settings: How to Change Public Search Visibility?

Users may enter both personal and professional information in their profile. As a default, all information is visible to everyone; however, user may change what the public sees. By clicking on the "green padlock" next to each field, the user may make that information public (visible to everyone), members only (visible only to members), or private (not visible in profile).

 

Q: How do I update my email preferences (email notifications)?

To edit your Notification Preferences...

Step 1: Log into your account on the KBA website.

 

Step 2: Go to the Manage Profile page.

 

Step 3: Click the button or text that says Preferences and looks like a clipboard. There, you will find your notification preferences.



 

To get to the Manage Profile page at any time (while logged in), hover your mouse over the menu item "For Our Members" and one of the first items will be Manage Profile. This menu item displays only while logged in.

Q: How do I suggest new ideas or vote on current ideas for the KBA?

The KBA always welcomes feedback from its members. If you have an idea or suggestion for the KBA, please go to the Idea Box on the new website and tell us how we may improve.

 

Step 1: To access the Idea Box, members can go to Member Services under For Our Members and clickIdea/Suggestion Box.

 

 

Step 2: Members may submit new ideas or vote on previously submitted ideas that you think would best serve the mission of the KBA.

 

 

Note:
  • you may submit up to five of your own ideas/suggestions
  • ideas added to the Idea Box are visible to allmembers
  • you may vote on as many ideas as you want

Q: Which version of Internet Explorer am I using? How do I upgrade?
