Welcome to the KBA YLS Mock Trial Competition!
Presented by Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, the Kansas Bar Association and the KBA Young Lawyers Section are excited that your school has chosen to participate in this fun and rewarding program. The KBA is dedicated to providing you with the information you need to make your team(s) successful!
The Kansas team selected to participate in the national tournament will be provided additional information at a future date.
Although changes to the case materials, dates, locations and rules are not anticipated, such changes or clarification may become necessary. To make sure all teams are provided with the most accurate and updated information, announcements will be posted under this section. Please refer to this website periodically for new information. Your team will NOT receive emails when new information is posted.

2014 Tournament Update
On March 1, 2014, the Young Lawyers Section hosted two regional tournaments for High School Mock Trial teams. A total of 27 teams competed from 19 different schools. Of those teams, 19 were eligible to advance to State as part of the varsity division. After all rounds of competition, six teams advanced to the state tournament. Congratulations to the following schools:
These schools will compete at the State Championship on March 28-29, 2014, in Topeka. The winner will advance to Nationals, which are being held in Madison, Wis., this May. We are still seeking individuals to act as judges during the State Championship.
